Eric Gyamfi was born in Ghana in 1990. He is a member of Nuku Studio in Ghana: a collective of visual storytellers that reports the current matters in Afrika and beyond. Gyamfi lives and works in Accra, the capital city of Ghana.

‘Julius and I’ is a form research of portraits in photography. This photographer combined his own image with a portrait of composer Julius Eastman. Inspired by the experimental work of the composer, Gyamfi produced an endless number of combinations of two images. The final prints were decided upon by the climate and other conditions.
